Previously filling the dual roles of National Business Manager of Australian Christian Churches (ACC) (formerly Assemblies of God in Australia) and Chief Executive Officer of Australian Christian Services (ACS), Michael continues to be passionate about resourcing churches and charities with expert, yet affordable corporate, tax and finance services.
Considered one of Australia’s premier church and charity corporate, tax and finance experts, Michael founded the ACC resource ‘Finance Matters’ and authored the very successful church publication ‘Fringe Benefits and Churches’. Michael also oversaw the launch and development of the online ACC administrative resource Access (AOG Assist) and presided over a period of unprecedented growth of the services provided by ACS.
Michael is also a committed local church member and has been part of the leadership at hopecity church for approximately 12 years. Michael holds the position of Elder , is involved in the ministry team and oversees the church’s men’s ministry. Michael is uniquely positioned to understand how the complexity of corporate, tax and finance administration and management applies to local churches and charities today.
After nearly seven years in his roles with the ACC, Michael has joined the team at hopecity church in a full-time capacity and heads up our accountability initiative.
Michael spent over seven years as an accounting practitioner from 1994 to 2001 and has been qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant since 1999.
